Is it even a band without you? Seeking drummer and bassist to get this show on the road!

I’ll be the first to admit that a lot of how this band has begun seems a little backwards to me, and by that I mean I’m a bit more used to and understanding of the normal “get together with some musicians, write some tunes, put out an album together” trajectory.

Instead we’re starting from a place where I already have multiple albums released and more on the way – but I can’t present these in a live format the way I’d like to without you and I don’t want to continue down this road alone.

What I’m Looking For

A drummer and a bass player to round out this band and… well, make it a real band.

A lot of songs that I have already do call for a second guitarist and potentially a keyboardist down the road, but let’s work with what we need first to make it all come together.

Who You Are

A drummer or a bass player who lives in or is able to commute to Vaughan or Toronto for regular practices and is willing and available to travel for gigs as required.

You should have your own gear and transportation and be reasonably pleasant to be around at least most of the time.

There are no gigs booked at this time but you should be excited and willing to work towards obtaining and playing them – this is not a post calling for session musicians.

There is no age restriction although you should probably be at least 19 since most venues will require that to have you in the building. I’m 33.

Who I Am

Neither Could Dylan, solo-singer songwriter & multi-instrumentalist and audio engineer from Vaughan, Ontario. My name is Jaimee. Hi! I’ll be playing guitar and singing in the band.

What You’ll Be Playing

This is an all-originals band (the odd cover here and there I’m sure) that rolls between rock, punk, folk and indie. Here are some of the songs you’ll be playing:

If you don’t have Spotify, I’m available on all other streaming platforms by searching Neither Could Dylan or Jaimee Jakobczak. I’m also happy to flip you some mp3’s over e-mail.

More songs are always on the way and ideally, as new tracks are developed you’d be interested and excited to put your own arrangements into them as to suit the song and your own play-style.

What You Get Out of It

A fun experience playing rock music with cool fun people. Money? Maybe a little in time, but you should know how this whole band-thing goes and have the appropriate attitude to match.

If you’re interested in talking more about it, please e-mail me at neithercoulddylan@gmail.com and we can set up a time to chat about it over ZOOM.

Thanks very much for your time and interest!
