If you follow my social media channels, you know that I was sharing some new songs through the month of June – you can still check those videos out on my YouTube/Instagram & TikTok.
I’m someone that is rarely ever not-writing something, but when new song lyrics started to come out in droves not long after the release of Acceptance I knew instantly I wanted to share them, the question was only when and how.
I very quickly ended up with a pretty sizeable collection that I realized were the makings of potentially 2 new albums depending on how I go about producing the tracks from their original acoustic state and I even started laying the foundation for some of those new demos.
But I really love the way these songs sounded when I first wrote them, quietly strumming along as I fumbled my way into their melodies. Although I love finger-picked acoustic guitars, I’d never really taken the time to try to record any myself and a few of these seemed perfect for the style.
The result of that line of thinking is this collection called From A Bedroom Above A Garage, a not-so-subtle nod to Elliott Smith who in part inspired the way I went about recording these.
With the exception of State Lines and Girls Like Me that I put out ahead of this release, these tracks are only available here on my website, so if you’ve found your way here you’re among the first to hear them.
I recommend finding a quiet space to take them all in at once in the order I outlined – a good pair of headphones, or whatever you have on hand that allows you to immerse yourself within the stories I share with you here.

And Girls Like Me is available on my Bandcamp and YouTube page:
Thanks very much for listening.
If you’re looking for a little more, check out my previously released cover of Mr. Tambourine Man here!
P.S – those files above are wav’s if you choose to download them (feel free). Eventually I’ll make this record available on other platforms, but I can’t say for sure when that’ll be yet, so if you’re looking for them as mp3’s or otherwise, you’ll have to wait a bit.
