A Safe Place to Sleep is out!

On Friday I released a new EP called A Safe Place to Sleep. It’s a 5-song EP that sort of culminates the last 6 years and my first few releases as a solo artist which began with my 3-song EP A Quiet Place to Scream.

Whereas my initial releases, AQPTS, The Clearing and even into Foxchase, dealt pretty heavily with past experiences, A Safe Place to Sleep is the first that exists wholly in the present and looking towards the future. It’s also sort of a continuation of the Homeless Youth EP as much of the traveling I did during that time inspired a lot of the thoughts presented on this record.

It’s always been important that the music I release carries messages of hope and resilience despite the experiences that inspired them and that’s still the case with ASPTS, although I would say I made more of a point to hone in on that here.

It’s in dedication to the songwriters who unknowingly helped me through my toughest times.

Available now wherever you stream or for digital purchase on Bandcamp.

This will be the last record I release for a substantial time as I have to refocus on some other aspects of my life for the next while, but I do hope to be able to play it for you live sometime, probably in a dungy little dive bar with an acoustic guitar.

‘Til then,
